In this era of uncertainty, we've come to expect the unexpected. Ever since 2004, when I began self-publishing my comics, each project I've brought to fruition yielded its own unanticipated challenges, yet each of those experiences provided an opportunity for me to learn how to better anticipate those challenges in the future.
With that said, here are some of the steps I've taken to alleviate risk of funds and delay of product for both you and me.
1. The creative components for making the book are complete. All that remains is to print and ship. This means, you are not pledging in hopes of a timely completion of a creative project. It is complete.
2. I am fulfilling orders in-house. I have packed and shipped many orders of my books for nearly two decades of self-publishing my work. This means I have the experience to ensure books arrive to you promptly and undamaged. ...and if that's not the case, I'll replace your reward.
3. In my projected timeline, I have included additional weeks of contingency time to account for possible delays in the production or fulfillment process. This should ensure a timely (and potentially early) delivery date for you...and hopefully a more relaxed fulfillment experience for me.
4. I'm an active and invested participant in the comics and Kickstarter communities. Through my experiences on the Kickstarter platform, both as a publisher and a backer, I have earned badges as both a "Backer Favorite" and a "Super Backer".
This will be my 17th self-published book, so I'm confident in my ability to bring this book to fruition. Regardless of whether the project moves forward apace or if there are unforeseen delays, you can expect efficient, transparent, and consistent communication from me until your pledge is fulfilled.
