I have been looking for WiFi controlled outdoor flood lights for a while now. A friend gave meis spare hue hub and. Went looking for the bulbs. I found them, br they weren’t going to be released until July 9th, so I pre ordered them. I got them in and installed them. Setup was a breeze and the hub picked up the bulbs with no problems. I tested them last night and the work great. The bright setting lights up my whole yard. The dimmer is a nice feature since the lights point to my deck, so I can have enough light whe we hang out in the deck, without blinding everyone. Overall a huge fan of these lights now!

Had a couple of non-Phillips lights for outdoor fixtures, and, they worked - mostly - but eventually stopped. Saw that philips now had an outdoor-rated bulb and ordered two pairs. Pro: The light level is much more adjustable than the previous lights (GE?) and they are hue bulbs, so they are fully integrated, work with HomeKit, etc. I wouldn’t quite call them spotlights, but they do have a noticeably more focused “lit area” - I knew my old bulbs created glare that the neighbors probably didn’t really like, these light the areas of the yard I want lit and the light level drops off quickly from the center out. Con: Um.. ok, they cost a couple bucks more than the “sorta-works-with” lights I had before. Other than that, zilch. I love ‘em.
